Coin Grading System.
GradeWhat is means
MSMint State: The coin is crisp and sharp as issued by the mint.
AU About Uncirculated: The coin may have been handled once or twice, almost MS
XFExtremely Fine: The coin was circulated briefly. Highest points show minor wear.
VFVery Fine: Details such as hair and feathers show notable wear, but otherwise most detail is still clear and sharp.
FFine: Many of the details are starting to show notable wear, but the design is still obvious.
VGVery Good: The coin is quite worn, the design is still prominent, but flat and lacking in detail.
GGood: The coin is very worn, mint and date mark are becoming faint, design is flat but rim is present.
AGAbout Good: This coin is at the end of it's life. Date may be very hard to read or only partial.
FairFair: This coin can probably be identified as to it's original type, but all detail is pretty much gone.
BasalBasal State: What was this? It looks like it might have been a coin at one point.
